Earlier this month, seed and crop protection industry veteran Nicholas Storer, PhD, joined the team at American Sugarbeet Growers Association (ASGA) as the organization’s Vice President of Science and Innovation.

Prior to joining ASGA, Storer held roles with Dow AgroSciences and Ciba Bunting across a variety of functions from Quality Assurance Leader to Global Science Policy Leader. Most recently though, he held the Director of Stewardship & Regulatory role with Corteva.
“Strategic and forward-thinking, Nick is a strong ag professional bringing more than two decades of experience to his new role,” Director Stephen Coffey said. “He is passionate about the intersection of science and policy and communicates effectively across all audiences, making him a great fit for the association.”
As Vice President of Science and Innovation, Storer will oversee all conservation, environmental, and innovation issues that impact sugarbeet growers nationwide. He will be responsible for participating in and leading industry and coalition meetings in addition to collaborating on industry administrative efforts among other duties.
Based in Washington, DC, the American Sugarbeet Growers Association represents 10,000 U.S. family farmers in 11 states who are projected to harvest 1.1 million acres of sugar beets. Comprised of 15 member organizations spread out across nine states, ASGA represents grower interests in maintaining a strong, profitable, efficient, and productive industry.
